Others may be facing serious trouble and some may be minimal and manageable. But some people sometimes get frustrated and depressed because they are not prepared for difficult situations in life. Reports show Millions Filipino suffers depression because of various causes of troubles . There are maybe different causes, but it points to only one subject – problem. It could be in any aspect, either mental or other causes.
Problem can either build you up or can make you down.
In this article, I have listed two types of problems perhaps you do not aware yet. This is based on my personal observation and study. I have been a Christian for almost two decades and been praying to God for wisdom, knowledge and guidance in life. This is not just my mere knowledge, but I think this is a revelation God that made me realized. I would not have such understanding if not God blessed me with wisdom.
Here are the 2 types of problem:
This is a type of troubles in life brought by our disobedience and negligence. Sometimes, it suddenly come along the way in our journey with God perhaps to remind us that we need to re-align ourselves with will of God. These are unnecessary struggles which no longer part of God’s plan. It prolong the period of our spiritual maturity. Learn from the story of Moses’ journey from Egypt to Canaan. The 40 days walking distance, took them 40 years because of their disobedience and stubborn heart. We are not suppose to suffer that bad if we learn early. God sometimes allows troubles to send us message that we need to get back on Him.
Prophet Jonah would not have been swallowed by big fish if he just obey God right away. For example your friend warned you to watch out for path hole in the dark side that might get you stumble. If you don’t listen and carelessly take that way without caution, you will surely fall. Now you are in trouble because it’s your own wrong choice. Do not make your own trouble.
These are inevitable problems that come along our way as part of our journey with God. These struggles are design by God to shape and mold us to become a useful vessels in His kingdom. Such problems are useful to hasten the fulfillment of God’s purpose. After baptism, the Holy spirit took Jesus to the wilderness to be tested. The testing has been done because it was part of Jesus’ journey or part of His mission.
It is like a quality control. After manufacturing a device, you let it undergo through various testing in order to see if this will pass in the market standard. The test process is very important. It may be painful, but it is designed by God to make us stronger. There are no testing beyond our capacity.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says ”
Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out. “
Problems are God’s way to make us pure. If gold is being purified, how much more our faith which more precious than Gold and silver 1 Peter 1:7.
